Keith House, Senior Independent Director

Keith House is the Senior Independent Director on the HFi Board and an HFi Founding Director.

In January 2014 Keith was appointed by the UK government as an independent advisor to jointly chair the UK Government's independent review into the role of local authorities and housing supply with Natalie Elphicke. The Elphicke-House Report was published in January 2015. A key recommendation of the Elphicke-House Report was the creation of a national Housing & Finance Institute.

He served as a Board Member of Homes England from 2011-2020 including on its Investment Committee. Keith is the experienced political Leader of Eastleigh borough council. While at Eastleigh council he oversaw an innovative approach to housing which saw the council establish a company to enable the provision of housing across a range of tenures.

Keith has had key roles at the Local Government Association since its inception in 1997 and is at present a Deputy Chair of its Resources Board. He is also a Director at Public Sector Audit Appointments
